I absolutely adore my dentist! Who says that? No one likes going to the dentist. My dental hygienist is incredibly talented, and the entire staff here is truly exceptional. I appreciate the convenient text and phone reminders they send me. Additionally, they always promptly return my calls whenever I have any questions or require assistance.
In October 2024, we brought our child to this office for a visit when he was only 21 months old. We provided our Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance information at check-in, and the appointment proceeded as usual. We were not informed that the visit would be considered self-pay, and no payment was requested at the time of service. Several months later, we received a bill stating that our child was not covered under our insurance plan. After contacting Blue Cross Blue Shield, we confirmed that our child had not been enrolled at the time. We accepted responsibility and paid the balance. We then reached out to the office multiple times to explain the situation and ask whether any courtesy adjustment could be considered. Each time, we were told that no discount was possible, with the only accommodation being a waiver of late fees. During a later call, we were told that while insurance benefits are verified, this verification applies only to the policy sponsor and not to dependent children. This limitation was never explained to us at the time of the appointment, despite the office stating that insurance benefits are verified prior to visits (see attached image for reference). Our takeaway: While we understand that the ultimate responsibility for knowing insurance coverage rests with the patient, this experience left us feeling that the verification process and communication were not transparent. We trusted that potential issues would be identified upfront, and that trust was misplaced. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this office to other families, and other parents may want to proceed with caution.

Absolutely love Dr. Mammen Sandeep P, DMD, and his amazing staff! I’ve been to so many dentists over the years, but this is the first office where I feel completely comfortable and cared for. Dr. Sandeep is gentle, honest, and truly listens. His team is super friendly and makes every visit a great experience. So thankful I finally found a dentist I can trust!
