Laura Phillips – Office Manager
Having built a long-standing career in the dental field, I focus on managing the administrative side of Dr. Mammen’s practice. This includes overseeing patient scheduling, insurance claims, billing, patient relations and ensuring seamless communication between staff and patients. I’m dedicated to keeping the front office organized, efficient, and welcoming for every patient who walks through our doors.
Originally from Galveston, I moved to Katy in 2021 with my husband, our two children, and our adorable dog. Outside of work, I love to travel whenever I get the chance. Exploring new places is one of my greatest joys. I also enjoy reading and adding to my extensive book collection, and spending time at the beach. It’s a pleasure to be at Dr. Mammen’s office, and I look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones every day.
Pam Gillispie – Clinical Coordinator
As a clinical coordinator, I love the challenges of helping patients achieve their desires of a beautiful smile without facing any financial difficulties. With over 40 years of experience in the dental field, I find sharing the changes with our patients one of the greatest rewards possible. I believe in the old saying of “treat a patient as you would treat your family”. Each one is special to me. I am a proud military mom, my daughter Megan is a Gunnery Sargent in the Marine corp. while my other daughter Katie is a nurse. I have taught my girls to give to our community and country. I am an avid reader and crafter and enjoy those things on the weekend. You can always ask me what project I have going and there is always 2 or 3 in the works. I am happy to have returned to what I consider my dental home and look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Anh Nguyen – Dental Hygienist
I have more than 10 years of progressive dental care experience in Houston and the Katy area. I take pride in providing an effective yet gentle approach to dental care and encourage preventive dental hygiene with every patient. I love working in the Katy/Fulshear area since my family and I moved to Katy in 2021. I enjoy hearing about the community growth through my patients. My husband, Stanley and I have a daughter, Athena, and a son, Vincent. We are active in the Katy community, KISD, and St. Faustina Catholic Church in Fulshear. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, trying international cuisines, and K-dramas. I am excited to be a part of Dr. Mammen’s clinical team and really look forward to meeting all of you!
Hsuan Hua Huang (Ellie) – Dental Hygienist
I have been a hygienist since 2018 but first entered the dental field as a dental assistant in 2015. I graduated from UT Austin with a Biology degree and later graduated from Pima Medical Institute for Dental Hygiene in 2018. I earned the Golden Scaler Award in hygiene school, a recognition given to the top hygiene student. I aim to provide painless and effective cleanings while caring for my patients’ entire oral health. I strive to provide a calm and comforting experience to all of my patients, especially those who are apprehensive of being in the dental chair. I am excited to be part of Dr. Mammen’s Team and look forward to providing the best care for our patients.
During my free time, I like to take my son out for fun and enjoy dental CE courses to further enhance my knowledge and skills.

Kerrie Ortiz – Dental Hygienist
Hi – I have been a hygienist for over 30 years and I love providing the highest quality of care to all of my patients. I moved to Houston from Austin in 2007. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband of over 30+ years and my daughter. We have three dogs that light up our lives. I enjoy being outdoors from fishing to hiking, camping and climbing over rocks with my Jeep. Life is an adventure and I live to enjoy every moment of it. I work with Dr. Mammen and the Team on Fridays and l really look forward to meeting you soon!
